Please Note: Because we include ALL POSSIBLE resources for animal adoption, we do NOT QUALIFY for charitable status.

In order for us to qualify we would have to remove about 3/4 shelters and rescues currently on our database who do not, themselves, have charitable status. We will not do that.

Consquently, we cannot offer tax receipts to the businesses and individuals who require them in order to donate.

Adopt An Animal Canada is entirely volunteer-run and funded by small events and generous people who do not require tax exemption.

Our operational expenses, though not huge, are ongoing.

We will always provide this service FREE to adopters and adoptees.

We cannot give you anything but our deepest gratitude and the knowledge that with 1 MILLION hits per month, we ARE saving lives.

(note: we will never partner with any commercial venture we feel does not have the best interests of animals at heart either by their products/services or by being involved with us. They will always be adamantly cruelty-free -in every way- and be actively promoting animal well-being and/or enriching our relationship with them.)

We urge you to please consider one of the these options to help us continue to develop our volunteer work.

1.Send a cheque payable to Adopt An Animal Canada and mail it to:
165 Bathurst St. #409
Toronto, Ontario M5V 3C2

2. CREATURE COMFORT Creature Comfort will be featuring a special section of breed specific merchandise (rotating ) in the store with a portion of all proceeds being donated to various rescue groups. We invite you to help many rescue groups by purchasing products to help those who depend on us to help them!"
